Levi H. Babcock, 77, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Becker nursing home, 208 N. Bluff street, following four years' illness. He was night watchman at the Golden Eagle for 16 years before his health failed.
Mr. Babcock was born in Rock Island Feb. 14, 1871, and was married to Elma Barnett in Clark county in 1901. Mrs. Babcock preceded him in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Grace Blake, Janesville; one son, Harold Babcock, Janesville; a sister, Myrtle Hensel, Shopiere; two brothers, Herbert Babcock, Janesville, and Roy Babcock, Edgerton; and several nieces.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Reining funeral home with the Rev. James A. Barnett, First Christian church, to officiate. Burial will be in the Edgerton cemetery.

  Mrs. Alma Babcock passed away at 10:30 o'clock this morning at the family home, 828 South Main street.   Mrs. Babcock was 38 years of age.   She had been ill for several months.   She was born at Kansas City.   In 1901 she was united in marriage to Levi Babcock, who with three children, Grace, Harold and Howard, survive.
