In Dakota, Wis., April 17, 1862 of typhoid fever, Dea. Rowland T. Greene, in the 76th year of his age. Also, April 25, 1862, of typhoid fever, Joanna Greene, wife of Dea. R. T. Greene, in the 73d year of her age. Brother and sister Greene united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church in Hopkinton, R. I., in early life, and have ever since remained worthy members of the denomination. For more than half a century, they have been devoted followers of our Lord and Saviour, and have set a Christian example worthy of imitation.

Cause of death: Typhoid fever

They were farmers in Friendship, Allegany Co., N. Y., and removed thence to Dane Co., Wis., in 1848, and later to Dakota, Wis. Typhoid fever was the scourge of this family, no less than seven having died from it in about seven months.
