Mrs. H. C. Wells died at her home in the town of Rock, about two miles south of this city, last evening. She has been in ill health for about two years, being first attacked with spinal trouble, and consumption following. Her death came rather suddenly, for though ill, she was able yesterday to sit up, and ate her dinner as usual, but rapidly grew worse, until in a few hours death ended her suffering. She was aged 43 years, and leaves beside her husband three children. The funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the Baptist church, of which she had been a member for about 26 years.
