  Berlie J. Brown, 88, of 5310 Milton Harmony Townline Road, died at Edgerton Hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1993.
  He was born Oct. 19, 1905, in Vernon County, the son of George and Luticia (Appleman) Brown.   He farmed in the Milton area.   He was married in 1935 to Gertrude Lewis.   She died in May of 1969.   He attended Immanuel Free Methodist Church.   He farmed and did custom work, including whitewashing barns.
  He is survived by two sons, Bruce (Mary), and Ronald (Teri), both of Milton; a daughter, Janet (Dale) Weber of Milton; four brothers: Carlos (Margaret) of Madison, Vilas "Jack" (Edwina) and Donald (Mildred), both of Milton, and Merritt (Regina) of Janesville; two sisters, Madelia Frye of Woodstock, Ill., and Cretia Addie of Janesville; six grandchildren: Joe, Rodney, Leon, Leonard, Annette and Danelle; five great-grandchildren; Jessica, Chelsea, Nikole, Courtney and Teegan and a very special friend, Betty Leonard.   He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and seven brothers.
  Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 20, at Albrecht Funeral Home.   Pastor Grover officiated.   Burial was in Milton Cemetery.   Pallbearers were Joseph, Rodney, Leon, Leonard, Bruce and Roger Brown and Annette Weber.

Mrs. B. J. Brown, 54, R. 1, Milton, died shortly after being admitted to Mercy Hospital Friday evening, May 9. Mrs. Brown had been ill for the past few weeks.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 12, in the Albrecht Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. K. Peckham, Free Methodist Church, Janesville, officiating. Burial was in the Milton Cemetery with Ronald Pett, Lowell and Norbert Hubbard, Roger Brown, Butch Miller and Dale Krueger as pallbearers.
The former Gertrude Lewis, daughter of Raymond and Grace Clark Lewis, was born Jan. 12, 1915, on the Lewis farm, R. 1, Milton Junction, and had spent her entire life in this vicinity. She was married to Berlie J. Brown Jan. 2, 1935, and they farmed on R. 1, Milton, all of their married life. She was a member of the Milton Grange.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Dale Weber, R. 1, Milton; two sons, Ronald, Milton, and Bruce, Rockford; two grandsons; her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lewis, and a sister, Mrs. Donald Pett, all of R. 1, Milton Junction.
