EVANSVILLE, WI – Jean Alice Balch, 53, lifelong Evansville resident, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at Evansville Manor Nursing Home following a long battle with kidney disease. She was born Feb. 9, 1953, at Stoughton Hospital, the only daughter and second child of Charles E. and Margaret Lois (Whan) Balch. She graduated from Evansville High School in 1971 and attended MATC. She worked 24 years for Woodbridge Corporation until her illness prevented her from working. Jean loved word search books and books of all kinds, being an avid reader. She loved her four kitty cats.
Jean is survived by her two brothers, Robert of Sun Prairie and William of Evansville; aunt, Elizabeth Cole of Evansville; niece & nephew, Robert C. Balch and Tricia Renard; grand-niece and nephews: Kayla, Kendall, Calvin, and numerous cousins and her 4 cats. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister-in-law, Veronica Balch.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at Ward Funeral Home, Evansville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
