JANESVILLE - Vinnie E. Hilt, age 95, formerly of 715 S. Jackson St., died Thurs., April 6, 1995, at Rock Haven. She was born in Rippey, IA July 19, 1899, the daughter of Almon and Kittie (King) Hull. She married Carl Henry Anderson in 1917; he died in 1923. She then married William Joseph Hilt March 8, 1941, in Dubuque, IA; he died Aug. 21, 1971. She had been a Janesville resident since 1924 and a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and World War I Barracks #2314 Auxiliary. Mrs. Hilt operated the concessions stand at Riverside Park for 17 years, from 1945 to 1962.
Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy (Clifford) Nunn of Janesville; a sister, Emeline Dallesasse of Milwaukee; 3 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a sister; and a great-granddaughter, Patricia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sat., April 8, at the Overton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 until time of service at Overton Funeral Home.
