The Wisconsin Tobacco Reporter', Edgerton, Wisconsin, Thursday Nov. 23, 1933.
Cassius Wiliams, 67 was born July 16th, 1933 in the town of Albion, and died Nov. 16, 1933, at his farm home, where he spent the greater part of his life.
He was married to Hattie Bliven on Oct. 28th, 1889, and the wife and two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Hallett and Mrs. Tillie Armit, of Edgerton, are left to mourn his death. A half-brother, Jesse Noe, who lives in the northern part of the state, two half sisters, Mrs. Pardon Pierce and Miss Louise Noe, and seven granddaughters survive him.
Mr. Williams was an industrious farmer and a home loving husband and father, and will be greatly missed in the community in which he lived. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 at the home, conducted by Rev. Charles Thorngate, of Albion. Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Sayre sang two hymns, 'Somewhere the Sun is Shinning.' and 'Some say We'll Understand.' The granddaughters accted as flowergirls. Burial was in the 'Sweet Cemetery near Grave; Store.'
The pall bearers were Allie Bartz, Arthur Krukenberg, Adolph Swenson, Ed Kreukenberg, George Krukenberg, and Frank Lietz.
Among those from out of town who attended the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs LaVerne Kirby and son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Seffins, Stoughton; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Rieckhoff, Bartlett, Illinois; Mrs. Frances Williams and family, Mr. and Mrs. Neil McVidar, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Hallett, Janesville; Lewis Hallett, Watertown; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Green, Frank Miles, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Olsbye, Milton Junction; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lee, and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Edwardson, Koskonong.
The funeral was largely attended and there were many beautiful flowers, the latter being in the charge of the four granddaughters of the deceased, they being the misses Lorraine and Carol Armit and the misses Adeline and Jessie Hallett.
