Notes for Pardon DAVIS
"The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 31, No 12, p 3, Mar. 18, 1875.
In Westerly, R. I., Feb. 24th, 1875, at the house of his son-in-law, Charles Spicer, Pardon Davis, in the 91st year of his age. The deceased was a member of the First Hopkinton Church, with which he united when he first made a public profession of religion, while in the fullness of his strength. His confidence in Christ had been a solace to him in his final sickness. His aged companion, who for fifty-five years had shared his life, survives with their three children, death never before having entered their family circle. But soon or late all earthly links are broken; happy they to whom they shall be restored in the life beyond. G. E. T.
