The Sabbath Recorder Obituary "The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 14, No 25, p 95, Nov. 19, 1857.
In Milton, Wis., Oct. 11th, of the dropsy, Mrs. Sabrah L., wife of Elijah M. Carr, in the 28th year of her age.
Sister Carr professed religion when quite young, and united with the first Church in Alfred, N. Y. Upon her removal to the West several years since, her membership was transferred to the Milton Church. She maintained a life of simple and earnest devotion to Christ, to whom she turned for support and cultivation in her trials and bereavement at the loss of her parents and friends. In her last illness, which lasted nearly a year, some of the most interesting graces of the Christian seemed to be fully exercised and developed. Her anxiety to depart and be with Christ was strong, while her prayer was constant that she might have patience to endure her sufferings until the day of her relief. She left a large circle of mourning relatives and friends. W. C. W.
