ATCHISON, Kan. — Ruby August, 93, Atchison, died July 20, 2010.
Ruby was born March 27, 1917, to Herman and Lenna (Bond) Babcock.
She married Lloyd Everett August, who preceded her in death in 1984.
Ruby is survived by many people who loved her dearly.
Services: 10 a.m. Sunday, Seventh Day Baptist Church, Nortonville, Kan. Burial: Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home; www.beckerdyer.com.

Ruby August,93, Atchison, passed away, July 20, 2010 at the St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, KS.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Nortonville, KS. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorials in honor of Mrs. August are suggested to the Salvation Army or the Seventh Day Baptist Church and may be left in care of the funeral home. Ruby was born March 27, 1917 in Arrington, KS the daughter of the late Herman and Lenna (Bond) Babcock. She was married to Lloyd Everett August and he preceded her in death in 1984. Ruby was a homemaker, farmer and most importantly, a foster parent. She helped to raise over 40 kids. She was very family oriented and loved helping kids. Ruby enjoyed painting, gardening, canning, baking and reading. She loved spending time with friends and always watched Dr. Phil. Ruby read her bible often and walked many miles to stay in shape.
Ruby is survived by many people who loved her dearly.
