Walton G. Green, 75, of 1347 Mt. Zion, died Sunday in Mercy Hospital after a short illness.
He was born Aug. 16, 1900, at Albion, graduated from Edgerton High School in 1920, and was married to Florence Rockwell Feb. 1, 1930, in Rockford. He came to Janesville from Madison in 1939.
Mr. Green had been employed as a route salesman for Hires Root Beer Co. and Obligato Distributers, and from 1948 until retiring in 1965 was employed at Janesville Cotton Mills. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Alan Sultze, and a son, David, both of Janesville; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Clinton Green, Madison.
Services are at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Overton Funeral Home, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Albion.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, Chicago.
