Emeline's daughter, "Hattie", was born in 1860, and was licensed as a third grade teacher in Russell, NY. (I have the original teaching certificate, which my aunt had saved). She married a railroader, William McHugh, in Saginaw, MI, near Bay City, where some of the Gould children had come to farm. William moved up in the Michigan Central Railroad to become the depot manager in Bay City. They had one daughter, May Emma, and Hattie died in 1897.1248
