  EDGERTON - Howard A. Crandall, age 82, of 1 Mechanic St., Edgerton, died on Wed., June 19, 1996, at the Skaalen Sunset Home in Stoughton, where he had resided for a short time.   Howard was born on Sept. 3, 1913 on his parent's farm outside Albion, and moved at age 6 to Edgerton, where he spent the rest of his life.   He graduated from Child High School in 1930 at age 16, and from Milton College in 1934.   Immediately following graduation he began working for Edgerton's Nunn-Bush Shoe company, remaining there for 34 years, serving as foreman for 21 of those years.   He had also worked for Edgerton Feed and Seed until the mill closed.
  Howard was married to Irma Plautz in 1944 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, and she preceded him in death in 1990.   Howard had an abiding interest in the Tri-County Community center in Edgerton, where he served as manager for 14 years, retiring in 1994.   He was involved during that time in the programming, day to day management of the center, and supervised a number of it's programs, including Thurs. night Bingo.   Howard was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Edgerton, and was an avid reader, and enjoyed sports.   He is survived by a stepdaughter, Nancy (John) Thompson, 4 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
  A memorial service will be held on Mon. July 1, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Edgerton, with Rev. Roy. Poltrock officiating.   The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.   Bruni-Nygaard-Ward Funeral Home is assisting the family.

  EDGERTON - Irma Loretta Crandall, age 79, of 1 Mechanic St., died Tues. Dec. 11, 1990, at the Madison Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness.   Irma was born Dec. 10, 1911, in Sheboygan, the daughter of Albert and Hattie (Kuester) Plautz.   She was united in marriage to Howard Crandall on Dec. 20, 1944, at St. John Lutheran Church, Edgerton.   She graduated from Edgerton High School in 1930, worked at Nunn-Bush Shoe Company, and had been employed by Highway Trailer for 26 years.   She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Edgerton, and enjoyed golf and other sports activities.
  Her survivors include her husband, Howard; a daughter, Nancy (John) Thompson of Indianapolis, IN; 4 grandchildren: Susan, Michael, Anne, and Kevin Thompson; a sister-in-law, Lillian Plautz; a niece and 4 nephews.   She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Plautz.
  Memorial services will be Sun., Dec. 16, at 3:00 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Edgerton, Rev. Roy Poltrock officiating.   Bruni-Nygaard-Ward Funeral Home, Edgerton, is assisting the family.
