  In Baraboo, Wis., Oct 8, 1893, Russell G. Carpenter, in the 78th year of his age.
  Russell G. Carpenter was born in DeRuyter, Madison Co., N. Y., June 24, 1816.   He was converted in early life, was married to Jane Head, of Alfred, Allegany Co., N. Y., April 24, 1838, moved to Rock River, Wis., in 1842.   He afterwards came to Albion, where he united with the Albion Seventh-day Baptist Church, Jan. 22, 1843, as one of the constituent members, moving to Sauk Co., Wis., in 1865.   During the latter years of his life Brother Carpenter was not in observance of the Sabbath.     E.
