MILTON - Malcolm L. Astin, age 56, of 400 Vernal Ave., died Tues., Nov. 27, 1990, at his home. He was born Nov. 9, 1934, in Milton Junction, the son of Lynn and Leora (Sharpe) Astin. He graduated from Milton Union High School. He worked at GMAD since 1953. He served in the navy. He was married to Donna Watson Sept. 4, 1954. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Milton. He worked for the City Police Dept. for 14 years, volunteer Fire Dept. for 10 years, and was a member of UAW No. 95.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; 2 daughters, Meredith (Michael) Halverson of Milton and Marcia (William T.) Brookhiser of Irvine, CA; 1 brother, Albert (Joanne) Astin of Milton; mother-in-law, Adele McIntosh of Milton; sister-in-law, Marcia Watson (husband, Richard Kalvelage) of Oregon; 2 brothers-in-law, James (Lee) Watson of Janesville and Phillip (Lois) Watson of Milton; 2 grandchildren, Joshua and Jennifer Halverson of Milton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sat., Dec. 1, at Faith United Methodist Church, Milton, Rev. Wesley Sharpe officiating. Burial will be in Milton Junction Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 until time of services at the church. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Albrecht Funeral Home, Milton, is assisting the family.
