Gertrude Wells Davis, daughter of Alfred and Sarah Carson Wells, and former wife of the late William C. Davis, was born in 1878, and died in a Madison, Wis., hospital June 25, 1962.
Mrs. Davis united with the Chicago Seventh Day Baptist Church Jan. 16, 1904, where she and her husband were active while residing in the city. She continued as a non-resident member during her later years.
Surviving are a daughter, June (Mrs. Robert O. McLean), and four grandchildren of Madison, Wis., and a brother, Gerald Wells of Riverside, Calif.
Farewell services were held at the Frautiche Funeral Home with the Revs. Alfred Swan and Gale Wolf of the First Congregational Church of Madison officiating. Burial was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison. - Mrs. A. E. Webster
