Ida Olive Allen Burdick was born in Alfred, January 20, 1857, and died at her home in this village, March 18, 1926. She was the oldest of six children born to Olive Burdick and Franklin Allen.
When but a young girl she was baptized and united with the First Alfred Seventh Day Baptist Church, of which she remained a faithful member.
December 20, 1881, she was married to Clark T. Burdick, who survives her. To them were born five children: Mrs. Bertha O. Snyder and Edna E, Burdick of Alfred; Ira F. Burdick of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Mrs. William R. Jones of Elm Valley; and Lynn C., who died in infancy. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. H. E. Witter and Mrs. F. E. Stillman of Alfred, and one brother, William H. Allen of Farina, Ill.
Funeral services were conducted in the First Alfred church Sabbath afternoon by Rev. E. D. Van Horn of Alfred Station, and the body was laid to rest in the Alfred Rural Cemetery.
Mrs. Burdick will be greatly missed by a host of friends as well as in her home. E. D. V. H.

Clark Truman Burdick was born at West Clarksville, N. Y., April 21, 1856, and died October 22, 1947, at his late home in Alfred, N. Y.
He was one of six children born to Maxson and Martha Compton Burdick, of whom one sister, Mrs. William Jacox, survives. Also surviving are one son, Ira F. of Lombard, Ill.; and a daughter, Fredora Jones of Andover, N. Y.; three granddaughters, and a great-granddaughter.
The wife and mother of his children, Ida Olive Allen, died in 1926. Later he was married to Mrs. Rosa Johnson of Alfred Station, who passed away in 1943.
He was baptized by Rev. N. V. Hull and joined the First Alfred Seventh Day Baptist Church, where he maintained his membership for seventy-three years.
Farewell services were held at the home in Alfred, October 26, 1947, conducted by Pastor Everett T. Harris. Interment was in Alfred Rural Cemetery. E. T. H.
