Baverstock Church

St. Edith of Wilton, Baverstock, Wiltshire.

Baverstock is a tiny village near Wilton. We visited Baverstock one August day as we were travelling down to France. On a perfect English summer day it was a place of rural tranquility. The church probably dates from the mid-fourteenth century. As you enter the gate the eye is drawn to the graves of the thirty two members of the Australian Imperial Force who were buried there during the First World War.
