Burial Info.

Florida Statutes, Chapter 470
Rule Chapter 61G8

Okay this is what I have read so far in the regulations. Once a person is deceased and before the interment, they shall have a ID bracelet, or tag placed on their wrist or ankle with the birth date, death date and social number if known. They can also place proper ID in the casket or in a alternative container with the body. Now, if they are cremated and the remains have not been picked up for 120 days the funeral home has the right to scatter the ashes at sea, cemetery flower garden, church columbarium or in a pond. They shall also insert identification in the urn of the deceased. If the family of the deceased can not be located then they will either bury the body in a cardboard box placed in a concrete container and then buried in the cemetery. They do cremate the remains of indigents and will hold on to the remains unless all means have been made to contact next of kin.

I will keep reading and post more information soon.
