The Criminal sitting of the criminal court opened on Friday. Dr Paterson committed for embezzling £19 of hospital money was aquitted. The jury took only five minutes to consider their verdict which was received with applause and cheering. // Rockhampton. Mr Real declined to proceed with the second charge against Dr Paterson and the judge directed the jury to acquit the accused. This being the last case on the list the sittings closed. |
