FREDERICK DENNING NICHOLSON, son of William Nicholson and Hannah Briggs, was born at Belvidere, Illinois on 31 Mar 1860 and died at Lynd, MN on 4 Nov 1931.
He married in Warren Township, Bremer County, IA on 24 May 1888, AGNES MARIA KELLEY, who was born at Hopkinton, New Hampshire on 28 June 1863, and died at Lynd, MN on 6 Aug 1936. She was the daughter of Henry Lawrence Bradford Kelley and Phebe Maria Nott. Her sister Mabel married Stephen Nicholson, Frederick's elder brother.

1. MARJORIE AVIS NICHOLSON, b. at Burt, IA, 28 Apr 1889; d. at Sleepy Eye, MN, 7 Dec 1941; m. at Lynd, MN, 22 Dec 1909, ALBERT C. BOOMER.
2. FREDERICK LEROY NICHOLSON, b. at Burt, IA, 30 Jul 1892; d. at Oklahoma City, OK, 20 Jul 1978; m. at Lynd, MN, 9 Sep 1914, to VINNIE ETTA AUSTIN, who was born in Lyon County, MN, daughter of Charles Henry Austin and Clara Barbary Westcott. Vinnie died at Balaton, MN, 28 Feb 1974. Roy and Vinnie lived and farmed all their lives near Lynd, MN.
3. MAURICE LAWRENCE NICHOLSON, b. at Burt, IA, 8 Nov 1895; d. at Litchfield, MN, 2 Oct 1981; m. in Iowa on 7 Aug 1914, CORA BERTHA LANGWORTHY, who was born at Washington, IA, 15 Jan 1897, daughter of Albert Daniel Langworthy and Eugenie Weldin. Cora died at Brainerd, MN, 22 Jan 1971. Both are buried at Lynd, MN. Maurice and Cora were married a second time at Lynd, MN, on 10 Aug 1914, at the request of their parents. (Their first marriage was an elopement.)
4. ROBERT MERRILL NICHOLSON, b. at Burt, IA, 12 Feb 1898; d. at Vineland, NJ, 31 Dec 1977; m. at Lynd, MN, 27 Feb 1919, RITA FERN PEARCY, who was born at Gilmore City, IA, 17 Jul 1900, daughter of Walter Edgar Pearcy and Ann Alma Plantz. Bob and Fern resided for many years in Vineland, NJ.
