In 1726, John had an illegitimate son by MARY WARD, daughter of Lt. James Ward and Elizabeth Rockwell of Middletown, CT. She was baptized at Middletown, 11 Apr 1697, and died 19 Feb 1740. She married, by 1736, BENJAMIN CORNWALL, widower of HANNAH MERRY. He married, third, HANNAH WILLSOP.
John Nott married at Fairfield, CT, in 1731, MARTHA GRAY, who was baptized at Fairfield, CT, 6 Mar 1714/5, daughter of Henry Gray and Margaret ___.
She married, second, at Westport, CT, 15 Jul 1759, JOSEPH PATCHEN.

He m. second, at Springfield, VT, 7 Sep 1772, EUNICE POWERS, daughter of Jerathmiel Powers and Eunice Bennett, who was born at Shirley, MA, 19 Jun 1757. As a young man, John had also had an illegitimate son by his cousin, HANNAH GRAY, daughter of Samuel Gray and Eleanor Sturgis, who was born at Westport, CT, 12 Nov 1736. Hannah married, 28 Apr 1762, SYLVANUS FRANCHER of Stamford, CT.
3. SALOME NOTT, b. at Fairfield, CT, 10 Jul 1735; m. at Fairfield, CT, 28 Dec 1751, ELNATHAN ALLEN, son of Joseph Allen and Rachel Bennett, who was born at Saugatuck, CT, 23 Jun 1729 and died at Westport, CT, 26 May 1816.

WILLIAM NOTT, b. at Fairfield, CT, 24 Sep 1739; d. at Milford, CT, 1815; m. first, 1770, SARAH PLATT, daughter of Gideon Platt and Mary Buckingham, who was baptized at Milford, CT, 12 Dec 1736 and died at Milford, CT, 14 Dec 1778. He m. second, by May 1781, REBECCA GILLETT, daughter of William Gillett and Phebe Terrill, who died at Milford, CT, 18 Nov 1801.
6. THOMAS NOTT, b. at Fairfield, CT, 23 Jun 1741; d. at Bristol Twp., Morgan County, OH, 15 May 1834; m. first, PRUDENCE ___; m. second, Washington County, OH, 8 Feb 1804, JANE BENTLEY.

OLIVE NOTT, b. at Fairfield, CT, 13 Feb 1744; d. as Suffield, CT, 21 Feb 1771; m. at Suffield, CT, 4 Mar 1761, HEZEKIAH SPENCER, son of Thomas Spencer and Mary Trumbull, who was born at Suffield, CT, 16 Nov 1740 and died there 8 Aug 1797. He m. second, at Suffield, CT, 11 Jan 1772, DEBORAH EATON of Enfield.
8. NATHANIEL NOTT, b. at Fairfield, CT, 26 Jan 1747; d. at New York, NY, 27 Jan 1822; buried at Bethel Baptist Church, New York; m. about 1769, HANNAH ___. He was living in Dutchess County, NY in 1779. Living on Delancey Street in New York City at the time of his death.
