South West England, showing position of Devon. Welcome to Devon - for some of you, the nearest that you might ever get to visiting this beautiful county in the South West of England. Therefore on these pages, I hope to provide for you both a Virtual and Historical Tour of Devon, so that you can gain an insight into what Devon is really like, both past and present.

The section Devon Parishes include Parish Register Extractions of various Devon parishes with permission from the Chief Archivist at Exeter District Record Office. This section also contains other genealogical material that has been transcribed by either myself, or contributed to this site by others.

Although these pages started as somewhere to share my own finds, you will see that I have developed a passion for finding out more information on many of the Devon parishes and of taking photographs. I am dedicated to getting more genealogical material online (with permission), so if you have something to share, but don't have a website then I would love to hear from you.
