His wife Sarah BLANDAMER (1782-1838), described as being from Fordington, died at the age of 56 and was for some reason buried at St Peters Church in Dorchester on 17th June 1838. John was living on Fordington Hill in 1841 with his son George & his family. By 1851 he had moved to East street Fordington to live and was still there living in lodgings as a widowed pauper aged 76 in 1861. He was buried at St Georges Church Fordington on 10th July 1866 then aged 80. I can only trace 1 child from the marriage :- (1) George BLANDAMER (1814-1886) bap FStG 18th Dec 1814, he became a bricklayer working with his father and married in the 2nd qtr 1839 to Mary BISHOP (1811-1878) the daughter of William BISHOP by his wife Charity HIBBS. Mary was baptised at Moreton in Dorset on 14th May 1811 and died at the age of 66 at Ringwood in Hampshire in 1878. George moved his family to Ringwood when he got a job as gateman on the London & South Western Railway and he died there at the age of 73 in 1st qtr 1886. They had the following children who do not appear to have been baptised (1) Sarah born Fordington 3rd qtr 1840 (2) Martha born Fordington 1st qtr 1844 ]
