Special Sermon at Third St., M. E.
Picture of "The Ascension" Unveiled and a Splended Sermon Preached
Special services were held at the Third Street M. E. church yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock. It was the occasion of the unveiling of a picture painted and presented by William Nast, a member of the church. The painting, which is in oil, is on the wall at the rear of the pulpit. It is life-size and shows Christ ascending. His arms extended in the attitude of blessing. It is an admirably conceived and well executed piece of art and Mr. Nast deserves great credit both for his talent and his generosity.
A BEAUTIFUL SERMON.
The sermon, which was by the pastor, Rev. Mr. King, was a well prepared and thoughtful discourse. His text was from St. Luke, the twenty-fourth chapter, 50-51 verses: "And He led them out as far as to Bethany, and He lifted up His hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while He blessed them, He was parted from them, and carried up into heaven."

Troy RD 1 Woman To Run For Prothonotary
    Mrs. Wanda Foulkrod announces her candidacy for the Republican nomination to the office of the Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts of Bradford County, Pa.
    Mrs. Foulkrod, a graduate of Troy Senior High School, has former experience as deputy in the office of the Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts, having been employed there from June 1979 through June, 1981.
    She also has 10 years experience as a legal secretary and is presently employed in that capacity for the firm of Vineski, Brann, Williams and Caldwell in Troy, Pa. Prior to her employment as deputy prothonotary, she was a legal secretary for former District Attorney, C. Wayne Smith, until his death in 1976, and thereafter for his partner, Lawrence F. Finn.
    Wanda is a native of Bradford County and has resided at RD 1 Troy for the past seven years with her husband, Bob, and their son, David, where they operate Foulkrod's Archery Camp.

Wanda is an active member of the First Captist Church of Troy and is a member of and secretary for the Board of Trustees there. She is a former Sunday school teacher at that church.
Mrs. Foulkrod is the secretary for the Troy-based Boy Scout Troop No. 49 and a former den leader and assistant pack leader for the Troy Cub Scout Pack. She is a member of the Thursday "B" Ladies Bowling league at Terrace Lanes in Troy, a commissioned notary public and an auditor for the Township of Armenia.

Cyclist Hurt In Wreck After Police Chase
    Michael Fulkroad, 25, was flown by Life Lion helicopter to Hershey Medical Center after the 12:40 a.m. accident, state police at Lykens said. Fulkroad was listed in fair condition today in the intermediate-care unit, a hospital spokeswoman said.
    Troopers said Fulkroad was being pursued by Millersburg police for a traffic violation. He was traveling east on Route 25 in Upper Paxton Twp. where his motorcycle traveled off the road along the south berm and hit a mailbox near North Street. Fulkroad lost control of the bike, which rolled over several times, unseating him.
    Assisting at the scene were personnel from Millersburg Fire Company, emergency medical services and police department and Medic 6. The investigation by state police is continuing.
