Allen, Mae M.
New London
Age 87, passed away March 25, 2003 at Manawa Community Nursing Center. She was born November 5, 1915 in Currie, Minnesota. On March 12, 1934 she married Russell Allen. Mae was a resident of New London most of her life. She was formerly employed at Miller Restaurant, American Plywood and Thomas Toy Factory. She and her husband owned and operated Allen�s Corner Bar in New London for many years. Mae loved fishing the Wolf River and camping. She is survived by her husband, Russell; three daughters: Patsy (Robert) Miller, Paola, Kansas; Angie (Kirk) Fletcher, New London; Judy (Dave) Ostermeier, Weyauwega; four sons: Donn Allen, New London; James (Betty) Allen, New London; Ralph (Joyce) Allen, Fredonia; Gary (Julie) Allen, Appleton; a brother, Everette Thayer, 32 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons: Dale and Russell Jr. Funeral services will be Friday March 28, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Father David Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
