� David Watt was a weaver and farmer. In the Revolutionary War he fought with the Third Battalion Militia under Lt Col John Hammon, 6th Company of Kennet, Chester Co., as a private.

� QUICKLESS, HUGH. May 28, 1777. Adm. to David Watt and John Moore. Wills: Abstracts and Administrations 1713-1825: Chester Co, PA (Proved 1776-7)

� David was listed in the 1790 census in Chester Co. PA, 4 sons and 3 daughters; and in the 1800 census in Fayette Co. PA with 3 sons and 1 daughter.

� Lydia Swayne Watt was disowned by Friends at New Garden Meeting, Chester Co PA June 5 1774, according to "Genealogy of the Bailey Family," by Gilbert Cope. (Probably for her marriage out of unity)

� In 1808 purchased land in Jefferson Co OH. His will is in Record #3, p40, Jefferson Co OH.
