Thelma Lorene Atkinson Vinyard  

Mrs. Lorene Vinyard, 83, of Dixon, formerly of Equality, died Friday, April 23, 1999 at the KSB Hosptial in Dixon.


On March 20, 1937, she married Earl P. Vinyard. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1957.

Surviving are a daughter, Sue Dallas of Dixon; four grandsons, Michael and wife, Brenda Dallas of Dixon; Greg Dallas of Dixon; Mark and wife, Jennifer Dallas of Rock Falls; and Jeff Dallas of Dixon; and three great-grandchildren, Candice Dallas, Mick Dallas, and Jacob M Dallas, all of Dixon.

She was preceded in death by a twin sister, Irene Hines of Equality, and a brother, Paul Atkinson.

She was born on Nov. 14, 1915, in Equality to the late Samuel and Martha (Allen) Atkinson. She was formerly employed as a Support Service Worker at Dixon Development Center. She was a member of the Equality Methodist Church.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. until service time at the Jones Funeral Home in Equality. Graveside services will precede burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery in Equality. The Rev. Ron Johnson will officiate.
