Welcome to the Frederick Rice Family Web site!
Frederick Rice was a pioneer and Revolutionary War soldier of German heritage. According to the Rice histories, he was born in Northampton County, PA in 1753. His father was Barnhart Rice, often found in Lutheran Church records in Pennsylvania as Bernhardt Reiss or Bernt Reis. Around 1770, Barnhart Rice moved his family to near Harrold's Settlement in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Read more about this Rice family under the Family
