EDWARD BRENNAN (1833-1901) Son of William Brennan & Maggy McKenna
BRIDGET BURKE ( -1880)

Edward was born in (Ballina ??) County Galway Ireland and emigrated to the United States some time in the 1840s. He was likely the brother of the John Brennan who eventually settled in Lakeville. Their respective death records list different fathers, however the mother is the same. It is not clear when Edward came to Minnesota or where he resided prior to his arrival but it appears he may have settled in Minnesota some time in the 1850s. In any event he and his wife moved to Lakeville Township. in Dakota County some time in the early 1870s.

Edward and Bridget were married in 1855 at the church of St. Paul in St. Paul Minnesota. Bridget is known to have been born in Kilglass (Collins) County Sligo in Ireland and she may have been related to the Thomas Burke who also settled in the area. She also appears to have had a sister by the name of Ann. Both Edward and Bridget are buried at the Highland cemetery.

Anthony was murdered in 1907 in a property dispute with one Michael Brennan and his father M. Nolan Brennan . M. Nolan Brennan had apparently received property from Anthony's father, Edward.
