Michael and his wife were both natives of Ireland. Michael and his wife
apparently resided somewhere in Pennsylvania and New Jersey until at least
1856. By 1858, Michael and his family were residing in Eagan on a farm next
to the one settled by John Gorman.

John was born in Pennsylvania, Anna was born in New Jersey and the rest of
the children were born in Minnesota. Michael died in 1894. Ann was
apparently residing at 208 Styker Ave on St. Paul's west side at the time
of her death in 1912. Both Michael and his wife are buried at St.
Peter's cemetery in Mendota.

Anna and Michael spent the early part of their marriage in west Saint Paul
in the area around St. Michael's Church. In 1900, the family was living
at 1025 Bayliss. By 1910, the family had moved to southeast Minneapolis
and the 1910 and 1920 censuses show them living at 41 Southeast 27th and
41 Lenox Street. Michael worked for a railroad - in 1890, he was an
engineer living at 502 Stryker in Saint Paul; by 1920, he was a towerman.

Margaret was born in New Jersey and Henry was born in New York. This
couple operated the popular Rosemount House hotel in Rosemount. The
Rosemount House was destroyed by fire in 1877. In 1900, it appears
that Margaret and Henry were living in Enterprise Township, Roberts County,
South Dakota with their five youngest children.

SARAH ANN LYNCH (1871 - ?1950)
William was born in Dakota County, Minnesota and Sarah Ann was born in New
Hampshire. This William Gorman is likely the same William Gorman who was
best man at the marriage of David Quealy (son of Patrick
Quealy and Margaret Gorman) and Susan Hyland.
He is believed to have been a cousin of Dave Quealy and also David
R. Gorman, son of John O. Gorman.

William H. and his wife, Sarah Lynch, started their married life in west
Saint Paul in the area around St. Michael's Church. In 1900, William
and Sarah were living on Spring Street in northeast Minneapolis. By
1910-1920, the family was living in Robbinsdale, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
William was a salesman.
