Both William and his wife Bridget appear to have been natives of County Mayo
Ireland. They were married in 1852, but it is not clear whether or not they
were still in Ireland at the time. It is known that their first known child
was born in Wheeling (West) Virginia in 1854 and that they remained in that
state until 1855. In that year they came to Minnesota and eventually took
up a farm in Eureka Twp. in Dakota Co.

Ann worked in St. Paul for a time as a dressmaker and eventually ran a dress
shop in Lakeville. No information is currently available regarding Margaret.
Edward F was a district manager for International Harvester Co.. H died of
appendicitis in Aberdeen ND in 1915. His obituary states that he was survived
by a wife. However no information is available.

Bridget was born in Wheatland Twp. in Rice Co. MN and was raised in Faribault
MN.

Michael died in november of 1921 at the result injuries received falling
into a gas engine. His wife died a year later. There is a marriage in 1911
of a Mary Kelly to a John Grady witnessed by Walter Kelly. This Mary may
be related somehow.

MARY GIBBONS (1866-1939) Dau.of
Patrick Gibbons & Mary Nolan
William was born on the family farm in Eureka . He married late in life after
renewing an old childhood romance . William's Wife Margaret was born in in
Rosemount in 1866. She was left orphan at a young age and went to live with
her uncle Gibbons. Before her marriage in 1913, she spent 14 years as a clerk
in the Minnesota State Auditors office. In fact she was prominent in political
circles from about 1882 to 1912. William died 12-23-1943 on the same day
that his sister Mary Gibbons died.

John was born in Eureka MN and resided here until about 1917 when he and
his wife moved to Minneapolis.

John died about April 15, 1937 after being hit by a car while walking to
church in Minneapolis.
