Michael was born and raised in Crossmolina Co. Mayo Ireland. He was apparently married in Ireland some time prior to the birth of their first child in about 1846. Nothing is known about Barbara's family. By about 1849 the family had immigrated to the the United States and was residing somewhere in New York. It is known that they were living in the town of Lockport NY in 1853 and came to Minnesota soon after. By 1857, Michael and Barbara were living on a farm in Lakeville Twp. with their children.

Michael disappeared from the records in the mid 1860s and by 1870, Barbara was living in Lakeville with two of her children. It is presumed that Michael died during this period and it is possible he died while serving in the civil war. Barbara died in 1881 and is buried in All Saints Cemetary in Lakeville. Nothing is known about her children after this date. By 1870 the only child left with Barbara was Sarah.

Mary eventually went to live with her daughter, Mrs Mike Coffey. She died March 7. 1907. Mary had a sister, Mrs. Daly, residing in Minneapolis at the time of her death. (Note : There was a John Sheridan, age 93 that died in the county poor farm in Aug. 1904. He was apparently buried from All Saints Church. His relationship is at this time unclear.)

Thomas Sheridan was born Dec. 5, 1961 on his parents farm about 3 miles north of the town of Lakeville. His obituary states that he was married Feb. 13, 1996. His wife Catherine was born in southwest Lakevile Twp. June 22. 1866.

Thomas died on the same farm where he was born June 10, 1925. He was buried at All Saints church in Lakeville. Catherine died in Feb. 1944 at Emond Hospital in Farmington MN.
