Ward, E by John Land, S by John Price, and W by the survey of Gooch, assignee of sd Ward, tract of 2177 acres, Certificate No. 48, Class 1st. Witnesses W. C. Harrison, Isaac Smathers.

Page 415. 28 November 1843. Edwin Swink to John Fulbright. For the sum of $1000, bond. Swink received of Fulbright by Benjamin Gooch, $500 in cas, 2 land parcels--1 of 640 acres, the other 4 acres, both located on a survey made by Gooch, assignee of James Ward. Witnesses Joseph Willson, Sam A. Booke(?).

For the sum of $00, 640 acres located by headright certificate in the S Fork f the Red River on the N of Big Cypress just above the head of Ferry Lake, 3 miles W of crossing Jefferson; beginning at the NW corner of 249 acres surveyed for John Walker and adjacent to Reed�s 4000 acre tract. For the sum of $700, 256 1/2 acres on the N end of Blossom Prairie on Ward�s Creek, located by Certificate No. 134, Class 2 issued to sd Waggener in 1839; beginning on Ira Poor�s E boundary. For the sum of $2500, 12 labors of land, being a part of his headright on the waters of Ward�s Creek, a tributary of Sulphur Fork of Red River about 12 miles SW of Clarksville; surveyed by Certificate No. 48, issued 1838 and patented to sd Gooch on 10 September 1852. Acknowledged in Williamson Co., Tex. before J. A. Houghton. Executed in Williamson Co., Tex.
