Fulbright Deeds Recorded in Laclede County (1849-1870)

-- Part I

[Editors Note: One of the most remarkable traits of the first generation of the Fulbright family in Laclede County was their accumulation of land-totaling at one time over 3000 acres. Some of this was accumulated when the area was Pulaski, then Camden Counties. Any deed records during this time were destroyed when the courthouses for both of these counties burned. Laclede County was formed in 1849, so any deeds in the area after that date survive in the courthouse in Lebanon. These abstracts were done by me in one visit to the Missouri State Archives, where I viewed microfilm, and in another visit to the courthouse in Lebanon, where I viewed the originals. In included Fulbright, Goodwin, Smathers/Smithers, and Daniels deeds (Christina Fulbright married Peter Goodwin, Sarah Fulbright married George Smathers, and Susannah married William Daniels: all daughters of John Fulbright and Elizabeth Coulter). Any mistakes are my responsibility.]
