Fulbright  Family  Association  NewsLetter  Articles

From Dave's Desk

You hear little from me in this issue. We have several things from family contributors. I asked some of them to write introductions about themselves, and I ran out of room to put the introductions. We shall do that later. You will never know how good it is to have copy to publish! I have often written almost all of the copy myself. This issue is an absolute delight. Roger and LaNeil Gephart, Karen McClaran and Bill Eddleman have written for us. We also have Dr. Robert Fulbright's address to the Junaluska reunion. All in all, we have more pieces written by more people than in any issue I can recall.

I do apologize for the layout in this edition. It isn't up to the standard to which you have become accustomed. I am trying to figure out a way to make doing the formatting for the newsletter more "do-able" for Ed Stout. I think we have it, but it was not fair to ask Ed to work with it this time until some changes can be made in the process through which copy goes from my computer to his computer.

Karen McClaran will help out as Assistant Editor on the next edition. She contributed an article to this one.

Please, send us your material for future editions of the newsletter. It is an enormous help to those of us who work on the newsletter, and it is makes the newsletter far more interesting to our entire family.

Note: Keith Fulbright of Haviland, Kansas, has recently discovered that he has a malignant tumor near left lung. The tumor is between the chest wall and the lung. It can be treated. He is exploring the possibility of surgery. (When I talked to Keith and Janice, Janice said simply, "Remember us in your prayers." Keith and Janice were at the Junaluska Reunion. DLF)
