Some of our Fulbright cousins have been unusually active in politics during this summer and fall.

Gerald Fulbright was chairman of the Independence County Republicans.

In the spring, the Mount Pleasant City Council appointed Don McSpadden as city attorney. Don's mother was Marie Fulbright and Don is the 1st cousin of La Neil Fulbright Gephart. Mayor Donnie Fulbright announced Don's appointment. Don McSpadden was subsequently elected as Prosecuting Attorney of Independence County.
