This reunion is held every year on Sunday, of Labor Day weekend, at the Mt. Pleasant High School. There are no dues and no formal organization. People come from all over the United States. In addition to the above surnames, other names show up regularly. Several with the name Sherrill have attended in the past.

The Sherrills were prominent in Catawba County, NC1 arriving there before the Fulbrights of 1769. Some of the Sherrills moved to Independence Co. AR at about the same time that Fulbrights began to arrive. Some Sherrills and Ful-brights have intermarried.

LaNeil Fulbright Gephart was born at Mt. Pleasant. Her father Orbie Fulbright, grandfather Joe Fulbright and grandmother Ida Kitty Moser, and great-grandfather Wash Fulbright were born at Mt. Pleasant (Drytown). LaNeil's aunt Marie Fulbright married Allen McSpadden and they lived at Mt. Pleasant.

Grandpap Fulbright was born in 1819 in Lincoln Co. NC. He married Susan Moser in Arkansas. Also, she was born in Lincoln Co. NC. Grandpap's father was Jacob (Jake) Fulbright; and, Jake's wife, Susan, may have been a Moser. Jake's sister, Elizabeth, married Samuel Moser before any Mosers or Fulbrights moved to Arkansas.

Samuel Moser and two brothers, Barnett and John, settled in Independence Co AR. Before moving to Arkansas, they lived on Elk Shoal Creek about a mile and one-half north of the farm that Jake Fulbright lived on in Catawba Co. NC.

Four of Jake's children married Mosers. Grandpap's son Richard married Laura Moser. Four of his grandsons married Moser women.

One of our active Fulbright Family members, Theresa Moser married Ronnie Ful-bright.

There are many other Fulbright-Moser married couples living today, not listed here, that continue to maintain the close connections between these two families.
