The Will of Eliza Talbot Walker

I, Eliza Walker being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say:

First, I will that my body be buried in decent Christian burial and that my just debts and funeral expenses be paid

Second, I give my household furniture to my daughter Anna R. T. Robinson requesting that she will equally divide my bed clothes with my other two daughters, Sarah Walton and Mary T. Walker.

Third, I will that all the rest of my property both real and personal be equally divided into seven shares of which my son, William, shall have one share; George W. Lamar for the sake and separate use of my daughter, Sarah M. Walton, one share;  George W. Lamar in trust for the sake and separate use of my daughter, Mary T. Walker, one share; the daughters of my son, John H. Walker, living at the time of my death, one share; the daughters of my son, George Walker, who may be living at my death, one share; my granddaughter, Laura  T. Shepherd, one share; and my daughter, Anna R. T. Robinson (or to George W. Lamar for her use), one share.

Fourth, I will and desire that in the division of my estate under the preceding clause that the

Fifth, The share or portion given to in the third clause of this my will to my son William, I give to him during his life only, and, at his death,  I give the share to my granddaughter, Eliza W. Shepherd.  Also, the share given to my daughter, Sarah M. Walton, I give to her separate use for her life only and at her death to her daughter, Octavia LeVert (that is to the said George W. Lamar for the sake and separate use of the said Octavia).  Also, that portion given to the said George W. Lamar for the use of my daughter, Mary T. Walker, I give to her for the life of the said Mary T. W. then in trust at her death to the use of her two daughters, Elizabeth D'Antignac and Emma Reab their heirs and assigns forever.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty ninth day of June 1841.
