Robert Jordan age 32 years deposition as to the genuiness of signature to Will of John Pearson late of this county dec'd having known said Pearson for 26 years last past before his death.  Recorded 21 March 1738.   Also William Crips, age 62 and Sampson Laneer age 56 swear to the handwriting of John Pearson.      Will of John Pearson was written 8 Aug 1721 and probated 21 Mar 1738.

Deed Bk 1738-1754, Will of Elizabeth ANDREWS 29 Nov 1735 probated 18 Nov 1741.  Executor Bartholomew Andrews.  Cousin Bartholomew Andrews son of Robert.  Former Husband Nathaniel Roberts(will dated 19 Apr 1693). Legatees: Margaret Tuther, dau of George; Mary Long widow of George. Witness:  Henry SOWERBY and ROBERT JORDAN

* "To son Benjamin Jordan 250 acres adjoining ROBERT JORDAN's  & Bartholomew ANDREWS lines"

 

* Deed Bk 7 p 288  --29 Sep 1756-   BENJAMIN JORDAN of SUSSEX County to JOHN BARNES

of Surry Co for 22 lbs 10 shillings sells 250 ac in Southpark Parish adjoining lands of ROBERT JORDAN and the White Oak Branch.

 (note: this is the same 250 ac bequeath Benjamin from his father Richard Jordan III)
