 I've combined a few pictures.  Stephen Laskey sent me the first few and these were from several years ago.  The ones below were sent by Midge Frazel of her trip to Gallup Hill in May of 2004.

These were taken by Stephen Laskey of the Entrance and Memorial Sign to the Gallup Cemetery in Ledyard, CT.
This is a memorial stone to the Revolutionary War Veterans buried in the Gallup cemetery.  I assume that this is also Stephen pictured behind the stone.

Col. Benadam Gallup was b. October 26, 1716 and d. May 29, 1800.  He was a veteran of not only the Revolutionary War but also of the French and Indian Wars. He and his CT men went to NY in 1776 to reinforce Washington in NY.  Benadam was married to Hannah Avery on August 11, 1740 and they were the parents of 12 children. (Photos by Midge Frazel)
Hannah Avery was married to Col. Benadam Gallup on August 11, 1740.  She was the daughter of Christopher Avery and Prudence Payson and was b. February 01, 1719 and d. July 28, 1799. (Photos by Midge Frazel)
Benadam Gallup is the son of Col. Benadam Gallup and Hannah Avery.  He was b. June 29, 1741 and d. April 12, 1818.  Benadam was also a veteran of the Revolutionary War and was commissioned a Lt. Col. by the end of the war.  He was married to Bridget Palmer on January 30, 1766 and they were the parents of 7 children. (Photos by Midge Frazel)
Abigail Gallup was the daughter of Col. Benadam Gallup and Hannah Avery. She was b. 1762 and d. November 24, 1771.

Hannah Gallup was the daughter of Col. Benadam Gallup and Hannah Avery. She was b. November 04, 1744 and d. January 10, 1771. (Photos by Midge Frazel)

Lois Gallup was the daughter of Col. Benadam Gallup and Hannah Avery and was b. 1756 and d. April 30, 1759.

Simeon Gallup was the son of Benadam Gallup and Bridget Palmer.  He was b. September 29, 1781 and d. April 13, 1836. (Photos by Midge Frazel)

Lieut. Benadam Gallup was b. April 18, 1693 and d. September 30, 1755 and was the son of Benadam Gallup & Esther Prentice.  He served in the French & Indian Wars as well.   Benadam was married to Eunice Cobb on January 11, 1716. 

Eunice Cobb was the daughter of Henry Cobb & Lois Hallet.  She was b. September 18, 1693 and d. February 18, 1759.  She and Benadam Gallup were the parents of 11 children.  (Photos by Midge Frazel)

These photos were taken by Jon Saunders at an earlier date.  Some of the stones are somewhat easier to read.  I believe that we can see the effects of weather on some of these old stones.  I have left the text that I had originally put in when this page was uploaded.  There are some duplicate stones that are shown above.  You can judge for yourself which copy you prefer.  It is truly wonderful that we have such a wonderful heritage and that there are kind and generous people like Jon Saunders and Midge Frazel to donate these photos.

Eunice Cobb was b. 18 Sept 1693 and d. 18 Feb 1759.  She was the daughter of Lois Hallett and Henry Cobb and a descendant of John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley, passengers on the Mayflower. (Photo by Jon Saunders)

Col. Nathan Gallup was b. 13 Nov 1727 and d. 19 Jan 1799.  He was the son of Eunice Cobb and Benadam Gallup.  He married Sarah Giddings  on 25 May 1749.  Nathan Gallup is a Revolutionary War veteran. (Photo by Jon Saunders)

Sarah Giddings was the wife of Col. Nathan Gallup.  She was b. 7 Mar 1729 and d. 17 Sept 1778.  She is the daughter of Nathaniel Giddings and Mary Williams...and a descendant of Mayflower passengers Edward and Samuel Fuller. (Photo by Jon Saunders)

 

 

Christopher Gallup is the son of Sarah Giddings and Col. Nathan Gallup.  He was b. 22 Jun 1764 and d. 30 Jul 1849.  He married Martha Stanton on 13 Apr 1790. Dr. Lauriston Gallup was the son of Lodowick Gallup and Margaret Phelps.  His son, Nathan is also buried here.  The dates don't seem to fit...needs further research.
