AUSTIN BRANCH is on the east side of and running parallel to HWY 22 at the Bosque County line.

 

"Austin Branch heads west of George Goars’ place, goes through old and new Cranfills Gap and was named for N. Austin."--Doris LaRue Stapleton and Capt. C. E. Horton.
