Did
you get to hear the Anvil Shoot on the morning of Veterans Day? I still
like to call it Armistice Day.
I
didn’t go down there this year, but as I stepped outside to hear it
better, there was a big full moon hanging in the west to give one a
feeling of safety and peace. And there was not a cloud in the sky to
hide its beauty. The air was crisp and invigorating, but was calm and
peaceful as it could be.
All
brought back that feeling of joy and happiness I had on that first
Armistice Day in 1918 when I heard my first Anvil Shoot and felt that
peace would be here forever. The poet described that feeling when he
said, “God is on His throne, all is right with the world”.
