Annie Maude Beasley, 97, of Hamilton died
Sunday, Feb. 28 in a Meridian Nursing Home. Graveside funeral services
were held Monday, March 1, at Cox Cemetery in Mercury, Texas with Rev.
Buddy Selman officiating.
Mrs. Beasley was born Oct. 22, 1895 at Buda
in Hays County where she was raised and educated. On June 3, 1915 she
married Roy Lee Beasley. After their marriage, the couple lived in
Mercury and Houston before moving to Evant in 1955 where they operated a
service station. Mr. Beasley died in 1976 and Mrs. Beasley moved to
Hamilton in 1977. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary
Baptist Church in Hamilton.
Survivors include a son, Walter Wayne
Beasley of Kopperl; a sister, Virginia Gaertner of San Antonio; four
grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews
and other relatives.
