CENTER CITY SCHOOL
CENTER CITY SCHOOL: Center City was in Hamilton
County until 1887. On March 29, 1880,
D. M. Hooks, who held a second-grade certificate, was employed as the
teacher at a salary of $40 per month and $1 per month for pupils over and
under scholastic age. The 1880 trustees were A. V. Patterson, J.
P. Grundy, and G. W. Mullinax.
