HAL’S BRANDBOOK . GOOD ROPER
Mr. Williams got out and showed me an old worn leather -backed
brandbook carried by his brother, Hal. It was on a printed form with ) )
) on the edge for ear marks., the name, address, etc. There were numerous
brands. Old man Sol Barron was staple- Rufo Pice [ or
Bice or Rice?] Returning two ways and lying
down. It was to identify cattle belonging to others in the round-ups. He
said Hal was excellent with horses and a splendid roper.
