EIDSON

Elevation: 971 Feet

The Eidson family gave land for the Stephenville North & South Railroad in 1907, hence the area was so named.

A Sunday school was organized in March, 1921, at the Eidson School house by W. A. Todd, Associational Missionary for the Hamilton County Baptist Assocition. Todd preached monthly at the Eidson School until July when Bro. J. M. Morgan of Hill County held a revival which resulted in the organization of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church which was admitted to Hamilton County Baptist Association on 31 August, 1921.
