Ola Hamilton, 89, died Monday, Dec. 7, in the Hamilton Health Care Center after an extended illness.

Services were Wednesday, Dec. 9, in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Graham officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Hamilton was born June 4, 1909, in Bee House, the daughter of William Andrew and Octavia Ann Smith Bynum. She was married to Jim Lesley (Les) Hamilton on July 17, 1929. They had made their home in Hamilton and shared 69 years together. She was a homemaker and past president of the Hamilton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for more than 25 years.

Survivors include her husband, Les Hamilton of Hamilton; four children, Sue Beard of Groesbeck and Betty Horner, Bill Hamilton and Sharon Warlick, all of Hamilton; three sisters, Erna Mae Mitchell of Gatesville, Mattie B. Dickey of King and Lendal Lippert of Waco; three brothers, A.C. Bynum of Gatesville, Sam Bynum of Dallas and Charles Bynum of Waco; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Billy Cole, Ben Brumbalow, Mickey Kinsey, Cart Jones, Jim Sullenger, Rabbit Fuqua and Brad Davis.

HAMRICK, THOMAS GEORGE CHANDLER "CHAN"

Mr. Hamrick

Funeral services for Thomas G. (Chan) Hamrick, 72, of Hamilton will be held Thursday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m. at Riley Funeral Chapel with Mr. Roland McLean and Mr. Jim Sullenger officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Hamrick, who had lived in the Hamilton area almost all of his life, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Hamilton General Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born in Hamilton County on July 5, 1916, and on Oct. 7, 1942, he married Mary Davis. He worked in construction for many years, and then was an employee of the Texas Highway Department for 26 year before his retirement. He was a member of the Southside Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Hamrick of Hamilton; one sister Ethel Grisham of Arlington; one brother, Vernon Hamrick of Goldthwaite; and a number of other relatives.

HARRIS, BOMER BRITTON

Bomer Britton Harris died Feb. 16, 2004. Funeral services will be in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel, at 10 a.m. Saturday Feb. 21. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. 

Mr. Harris was born in Roaring Springs on Aug. 20, 1917, the son of George and Vera Jones Harris. He attended Harrold High School and graduated from Texas A&M in 1939. 

On Nov. 28, 1940 he was married to Emma Frances Seay at Harrold. He graduated from Chiropractic School and practiced chiropractory from 1940-1942. 

He joined the Soil Conservation Service in 1942 and retired after 31 years of service. 

Mr. Harris then worked for the First National Bank of Hamilton for many years. His service to the Lord included the First Baptist Church of Quanah and the First Baptist Church of Hamilton. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. 

Survivors include his wife of Hamilton; three daughters, Janice Bidigare and husband Richard of Hamilton, Mich.; Kay Christiansen and husband Chris of Hurst; Joyce Villarreal and husband George of Houston; five grandchildren, Scott Bidigare, Michele Burkett, Wendi Kornegay, Amy Wood and Josh Wood; six great grandchildren and a brother Ivan Harris of Fort Worth.

Pallbearers will be Richard Bidigare, George Villarreal, Chris Christiansen, Don Gromatzky, Josh Wood and Robin Thomas. 

The family has designated the Alzheimers Association for memorials.

HARRIS, DORIS (STANFORD) 

Doris Harris, 70, of Azle died Jan. 14, 2005 in Fort Worth. Funeral services were held Jan. 17 at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton with Rev. Keith Felton minister. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery. 

She was born September 6, 1934 at Cranfills Gap, the daughter of Berry and Madie Giese Stanford. She was united in marriage to R. L. (Durmey) Harris at Fort Worth, TX on January 14, 1950. 

They have shared 55 years of life. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. 

Survivors include her loving husband, R. L. Harris of Azle; four children, Raymond Lee Harris and wife Kathy of Spring, Randal Lynn Harris and wife Maryann of Lake Worth, Donna Elaine Fagan of Lake Worth and Lisa Elana Abbott and husband Mark of Weatherford; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Stanford of Springtown and Charles Milford Stanford of Moore Okla. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Darrell Stanford. 

Pallbearers were Randall Lynn Harris Jr., Randy Dodson, Bobby Dibbern, Harry Gardner, Mike Stanford, Johnny Harris, Beaver Harris and Scott Lewis. The family has designated for memorial, Vitas Healthcare of Texas, L.P., 2501 Parkview Dr., Suite 600, Fort Worth, TX 76102.

HERRING, CLINT, JR.

Clint Herring Jr., 68, died April 5, 2004 in Hamilton. Funeral services were held April 9 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton with burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. 

Mr. Herring was born April 19, 1935 in Erath County, the son of Clint Herring Sr. and Ruby Stella Jaggers Herring. The family moved to Hamilton where he graduated from Hamilton High School in 1954. He continued his education at Tarleton State College at Stephenville from 1954-1956 and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1958 with a B.S. degree in Poultry Science. He received training at Salsbury Labo-ratories for Poultry Disease Control and attended Hy-Lay school of Marketing, Disease Control and Poultry Management. 

Mr. Herring held positions of salesman, and was sale supervisor of the largest poultry operation in the State of Texas on Poultry Control and management. He served as a lieutenant in the Army and served six years in the Army Reserve. He worked for Hy-Lay Hatcheries most of his career of over 40 years. He was devoted to his career and brought much laughter to all. His customers were his best friends. 

On Nov. 7, 1959 he was united in marriage to Emily Sefcik of Caldwell. He was later united in marriage to Dixie Kay Gerald on March 22, 1986. 

Survivors include his wife of Hamilton; two daughters, Diane Marie Welch and her husband Scott of Bryan and Pamela Kay Buck and her husband Phil of Alvin; two step-sons, Russell Scott of McGregor and G.W. Scott of Nacogdoches; five grandchildren, Jarrod Scott Welch, Matthew John Welch, Madison Diane Welch, Kendall Stacie Buck and Cortlyn Kay Buck and four step-grandchildren, Miller Scott, Katy Scott, Rachel Scott and Jordan Scott.

HERZOG, FREIDA AGNES

Freida Agnes Herzog, 75, died Sept. 16, 2004 at Hamilton. Funeral services were held Sept. 19 at St. John Lutheran Church in Hamilton with Pastor Russell Nebhut and Vicar Robert Reibau officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. 

Miss Herzog was born on April 28, 1929 the daughter of Paul and Emma (Reich) Herzog of Copperas Cove. 

The Herzog family were members of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Copperas Cove, where Frieda was baptized and spent all of her childhood years. When Frieda was 12 years old she was confirmed at Immanuel. 

Upon graduation from high school in Copperas Cove Frieda moved to Temple. She was employed at a credit bureau and later worked for Piggly Wiggly grocery stores and traveled extensively training employees in new stores which were opening for business. 

After several years of employment with Piggly Wiggly, she became manager of a Quality Discount store in Belton. She was responsible for all aspects of the store having taken over management when the owners retired. She was employed for Quality Discount when in 1981 she suffered a brain aneurism which left her in a coma for two months. She was moved to a nursing home in Temple where she lived for 
18 years. 

In January of 1999 her brother Ted moved Frieda from Temple to Hamilton where she became a resident in Hamilton Health Care Center. It was also at this time that Frieda transferred her church membership from Immanuel Temple to St. John in Hamilton. 

Frieda never married but her family was always very special to her. She looked upon her nieces and nephews as a person would look upon their own children. She was always there to be a source of encouragement to them. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Adolph Herzog, Arthur Herzog, and Herman Herzog. 

Survivors include two sisters, Ella Agee of Lubbock, and Bertha Harris of Lubbock; her brother, Ted Herzog of Hamilton; many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. 

Pallbearers were Roger Wenzel, Paul Christensen, Calvin Friedrich, Richard Johnston, Gary Schoen and Tom White.

HILL, SANDRA (HUFFSTUTLER)

Sandra Hufstutler Hill, 56, died Aug. 16, , 2000 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Funeral services were held Aug. 18 at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robyn Young officiating. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. 

Mrs. Hill was born in Winfield Kansas on Nov. 20, 1943. She grew up in Hamilton and was a realtor. She was married to Donald J. Hill. 

Survivors include her daughter, Sherrena and husband Gregg Causey of Granbury; a son, John and wife, Lorie Grubbs of Granbury; five grandchildren; her mother, Christine White of Hamilton and her sisters, Darleene Hufstutler of Stephenville and Linda Schultz of Gatesville. 

Pallbearers were William Grubbs, Rick Grubbs, Mike Rowell, Jerry Nix, Gregg Causey and Mike Hill.

HOHERTZ, ERNA EMMA (MEISSNER)

Erna Emma Hohertz died Dec. 16 at the Hamilton Hospital. She was 99 yrs, 10 mo., 17 days of age.

Graveside funeral services were conducted Dec. 17 at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton with Lee Berger officiating. Mrs. Hohertz was born January 29, 1903 at Becka Mountain in Mills County, the daughter of Adolph Meissner and Emilie Tischler Meissner.

She was married to Ernest H. Hohertz on November 24, 1926. He preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1963. She was a devoted wife and helpmate to her husband.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Alwine Hohertz, Tillie Sommerfeld and Frieda Sommerfeld and two brothers Adolph Meissner and Henry Meissner.

Survivors include one sister Albertine Lange; a sister-in-law Frieda Meissner and a number of nieces and nephews.

HOWELL, DELIA OPAL (HODGES)

Delia Opal Howell, 94 died August 28, 2002 at her home in Hamilton. Funeral services were conducted Aug. 31 at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Hamilton with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Howell was married to Edward Luke Howell on November 23, 1924, at Camp Springs in Scurry County. They made their home in Odessa for a number of years where they ran an Exxon Service Station. They have made their home in Hamilton since 1968. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great
grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Luke Howell of ...; a daughter, Jean Stautzenberger of ...; daughter-in-law, Angie Howell Cook of ...; three grandchildren, Terry Luke Howell, Jess Stautzenberger and Tammy Jean Gonzales; six great- grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Willie Mary Abernathy of ..., Jaunita Connalley of ... and Lorene McCulley of ...; two brothers, William Hodges of El ... and Johnny Lee Hodges of .... 

She is preceded in death by one son, Luke Johnny Howell, two sisters and two brothers. 

Pallbearers: Billy Hodges, David Hodges, Greg Hodges, Kenny Hodges, Tim McCulley, Jess Don McCulley, Lyndon Fisher and Audrey Gene Fisher.

HUBBARD, BERNICE BEATRICE (KINSER)

Bernice Beatrice Hubbard, 99, died at Hamilton April 21, 2004. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. April 25 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Thetford, a lifetime family friend, officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. 

Mrs. Hubbard was born April 8, 1905 at May, one of six children of Willie Calbert Kinser and Cora Lee Tucker Kinser. She was united in marriage to Samuel L. Hubbard on June 10, 1923 at Carlton. The couple made their home in Carlton until 1961 when they moved to Hamilton. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1973. 

Mrs. Hubbard moved to Austin in 1995 to be near her son. While in Austin she resided at Ameripark Retirement Home and returned to Hamilton in June of 2003. 

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was active in the Senior Citizen Center in Hamilton as long as her health would permit. She was a member of the Littleville Baptist Church. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, H.L. Hubbard; an infant sister, Beulah Lee Kinser and four brothers, Mabry, Melvin, Leslie and Darwin Kinser. 

Survivors include one sister, Clarice Turner of Hico; three grandchildren, LaQuita Nauert of Austin, Sherry Schumann of Pottsville and Richard D. Hubbard of Blanket; nine great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers were Ronny Nauert, Robert Nauert, Rod Nauert, R.D. Hubbard Jr., Joe Hubbard, Jennifer Sinyard, Jamie Schumann, Jessica Lloyd and Jared Schumann.
