The annual meeting of the Hamilton County Baptist
Association/Hamilton County Missionary Baptist Association/Hamilton
Baptist Association was held every fall--August, September, or October.
Each church was represented at the annual session by members chosen to be
messengers. Until 1954 messengers from each church were listed in the
published minutes of the annual meeting. Early sessions lasted three days,
during which time the host church provided food and lodging for the
messengers and their horses.
