There are always some firms in every community what

The Garner-Alvis stores are located in Hamilton,
Brownwood, Cisco, and Gatesville, The Hamilton firm was established in
1928 and has been a leader in the field ever since.
Robert Williams, manager, is a Hamilton man. The son of
the late Ernest Williams and Mrs. Simmie Crews Williams. Mr. Ernest
Williams was a native of Tennessee and came to Hamilton to engage in the
sheep industry. He was one of the first men to build a wire fence in this
county and was forced to employ men from Waco to protect his fences from
cutters. He served as postmaster for 12 years. His wife was the daughter
of Dr. and Ms. Leonidas Crews of Georgia.
Robert Williams became manager of the local
establishment of Garner-Alvis upon his return from the University of
Texas. He is an energetic, enterprising and progressive business man,
taking an active interest in all things advantageous to his business and
home. He married Miss Esther Leitko in 1933. She is the daughter of John
Leitko of Aleman. She is a graduate nurse of the Hamilton Sanitarium. Mr.
Williams served as President of the local Lions Club for the year of
1933-34. The club made rapid growth under his leadership and he always
received the full co-operation of the entire membership.
This firm is renowned in this locality for their
reliability and service to their patrons. Service is the watch word of
this establishment and it is their constant aim to please each and every
patron. This policy is one which has brought them a large trade and one
that merits your consideration when in need of anything in their line.
